1912 Vivian Woodward England world cup before The World Cup Olympic Games soccer tournament brochure

I can only show 5 pictures but this has plenty more! Not shown there are also full page team line ups for Hungary, Italia, Holland, Denmark, Sweden, etc, Original from 1912  Soccer world competition OG (World Cup) programme, from before the World Cup butnow recognised as full international tournament of same standing, this has mostly a GB / ENGLAND photos but also some team and action photos of Italia, Denmark, Holland, Sweden, Hungary, Finland etc. Issued at the close of the Olympic Games in Stockholm, this antique rarity now has full World Cup status.

Intact. Incredible condition for a paper programme of 110 years age. Some edge wear, some creases around edges, a little paper lost bottom centre (around the spine), original staples, VG condition overall

Incredible: an original Cup Finals programme, from the pre-World Cup era, the closest thing in 1912 to a world soccer finals event, the Soccer Olympic Games Finals, a large format colour-cover programme, with B/w pages of team lines ups and action photos from the matches, with HOLLAND / Nederland, GREAT BRITAIN (ENGLAND), ITALIA Nazionale, FINLAND - Suomi, DANMARK, SWEDEN - Sverige, HUNGARY - Magyarország. The booklet has more pages than i can show here, only being allowed 9 photo slots. It starts at page 50 because it's part of a series (the others being from other sports) and goes through pages in the 60s. Slim but large format, great images of the above-mentioned football teams, GB/ENGLAND team is named (Arsenal, Bradford City, Darlington, Chelsea, etc.) player for player, and there are a few photos of England in action, most versus Denmark, others with Finland, etc.
The Football Association/s recognized Olympic Games events as full internationals, so this event is one of the earliest soccer World Cups. The gold medals were won by England, with Denmark as silver runners up. Netherlands and Finland played off for 3rd, the Dutch winning the bronze medals. Great team photos of Italia, Hungary, Sweden and other photos make this a priceless purchase for the football historian, or collector of early soccer ephemera.
