1890s London Caledonians rarity. This is a MARCUS tobacco cigarette card of a famous club of yore, a Scots-in-London team which won the FA Amateur Cup - in those days "amateurs" meant simply non-paid players, not inferior players. In those days the amateurs were just as good as the paid players, the professionals, whom they oft' beat. London Caledonians won a raft of trophies and titles, including 10 London & Middx Cups; 6 titles, and the FA Amateur Cup in 1923. SOLD AS SEEN
