1909 Billy Meredith Copes Clips Noted Footballers 282 (EB for £4,375!) SOLD

An original, very rare 1909 cigarette card of Billy Meredith #125 by Cope Brothers, a "Clips" series, "Noted Footballers" card with the 282 back (not 500). I sold one in slightly sharper form, for £3k, and a similar card on EB sold for £4,375+ 2 years ago so this is a great chance for someone to pick up a VG card for only £2,400!  See all pictures below, to see more... NOTE: the hatching in the image is not on the card it's on the scan. The card has NO creases, just 4 light corner indents from an old slot in album. There are one or two marks notably a small indent to the lower right corner, not a crease but a pencil mark. Generally VG. Sold as seen
