1923 H Thomas - high number #1922 - Manchester United redemption issue cabinet-size card by Pinnace cigarettes. These were never for sale, never included with cigarettes; smokers had to save 25 cards and send off for a *random* cabinet size card! There were 2,500 footballers in the series and it was chance which the smoker got, so not many people took the chance! That's why these are so rare. Few werr made, less were redeemed, and fewer still survived the 100 years since they were available to heavy smokers of Pinnace cigarettes. Incredibly rare!
