1927 -28 Alberto Giordani (DIED in November 1927) & Giovanni Borgato for BOLOGNA Italian League Champions - this card DATES the ENTIRE SERIES!! By 1929's title both had been long gone, by 1-2 years! This card is invaluable because of both Giordani's and Borgato's presence. The former had died while playing for Bologna in 1927, the latter by mid-1928 lhad eft for Fiorentina, so this card surely cannot be later than end of 1928 - issuers were not stupid enough to print old news on new cards. As Bologna won the league in spring 1929, all fans of the club - and national news - would have known it to be a new era a year or two after these 2 greats had gone. This card is then invaluable because it dates the entire series of these sepia with inset framed legends. Numerous other cards from this collection can now be fairly safely dated as no later than 1928. MANY FAULTS, MANY VALUES to this card.
