The "Wilkes of West Bromwich" was a photographer and also a photo archive. It rented out its images to newspapers and magazines, then took them back! They were not sold, per se, unless they had been made into postcards - relatively rarely done.
The card has a PLAIN back, with the official rubber stamp of the Wilkes firm.
A gem! As rare as they come.
