1962 Pelé VARIETY LARGE SIZE "BROWN BACK" PELE Stella card from Italy, gum-card size, Ebay $1,700!!

BROWN BACK : 1961-2 1st edition LARGE SIZE (gum card size) "BROWN BACK" PELE Stella card from Italy, typical gum card size, with faults.  This ia a second version of the 1st edition, large Stella Pele card. These large cards are far rarer than the other, smaller or later editions. Note the age: Pele has "21 years" on this card. The later, longer cards with the flag state "22" which proves this is a 1961-62 card, and the longer cards are a year later for stating 22 years. Well, this was the first of the 5 versions of the Marca Stella cards. This one is one of the two larger types of the 5 known variants. It's about the same as a regular gum card of the era. So, this card is known in these 2 types, black and brown (so-called 'blue ink' cards are just faded black); one with black and the other with brown text to the back. This has a BROWN text back. Remember, this was sold as long as 1 year before the longer card with the flag, which Stella reissued for 1963 (though graders are not honest about the dates on their slabs of those longer, flagged cards!). This card was sold only in very limited numbers, and only ever in Italy. ONLY 1 of these larger, earlier cards is recorded by PSA.  NOTE: this card is SOLD AS SEEN and it has some faults but it is unglued. There is some pen to the rear and there are small creases. The smaller card is not included, it's shown for scale. This large card is exceedingly rare! This is even rarer than the 1962 Lutter and far far rarer than any of the 1960. '61 or 1962 Heinerle Pele cards, hence the price. The buyer may wish to enquire about a deal for both: this and the twin card with the brown back.
