You don't have to pay the $70,000 being asked for just one of these cards on Ebay (see supporting photo). In fact this combination of 2 cards is much rarer than the single card being offered for $70,000. Both these are originals - both are from 1966. Buyer gets 2 Cassius Clays, a pair of Muhammad Ali cards made by Panini from that firm's 1st "Campioni dello Sport" series, from 1966. The series was reprinted in the same year after initial stocks were sold - it did better than Panini had anticipated, hence there are at least two clearly differently coloured versions of all of the cards issued for this series (yes, there were 2 Eusebios, 2 Peles and 2 Sonny Listons, etc). You get the two Cassius Clay cards: they have different greens to the fronts and different tones of red to the backs. NOTE: the cards have some handling wear as seen, there are some light corner knocks as seen. SOLD AS SEEN with light faults, BOTH cards have some very faint waviness - very light humidity into the cardstock - after their <60 years of life. BUYER BUYS WITH THIS KNOWLEDGE. Rare singly but as a pair unheard of! The rarest of the Campioni 66 combos? Probably. At least just as rare as the Peles. The cards were also available with Valida backs but they are typically easier to come by after someone at Panini released a stock of old, un-destroyed Valida cards to the market a few years ago. See all the photos. Sold as seen with light faults as seen.
