Kinké (Juan Armet, 1911)

In Spain he's credited with the short, precise pass of the 'Seville School', and remembered as "un mago de la pelota, un virtuoso del balón".* Ahead of the time he played for 35 years! Juan Armet de Castellví is better known as Juan Armet and better still as Kinké. Kicking off in 1911 he played with Ricardo Zamora at Universitary SC; with the English players of Español in 1916 and thence Sevilla where he stayed for 10 years. He played for Spain until he was 51, ending his playing career in 1946! He won titles with various clubs and managed Real Madrid. (*Jesús Ramos, sports journalist at La Marca).
